Arctic Cougar 86' Brake light failure.....

Hey,
I am having problems with my brake light on my Arctic cat cougar 86'. I just replaced the brake light and it still doesn't work. The wires going to the light are all connected and everything, so I was wondering were would the lines running to the alernator be since im thinking that could be the problem.....?
Thanks....

Ther is a brake light switch in the handle bars, check the conection there! There is a pin that comes out when the lever is pulled perhaps it stuck?

Does the tail light work?? Check the contacts with a volt meter to see if you have voltage....

Ya....thanks for the advice...I already took the seat off and the wire ain't pinched so ik that ain't the problem, but i'll be sure to check the voltage level...

I also noticed that the emergency switch wires some how got connected....Im not thinking it but could that be maybe be part of the problem????

Thanks for all the advice...I'll post ya back to see if that was the problem....
