hey guys.. i'm thinking about buying a second sled and came up with a '96 z440 with a bad coil...
easy fix? and how much? is that a pretty good engine?.. are all the coils on 440's the same (cougar)... anything i should watch out for, outside the obvious stuff with this sled?

also... do all '99 zr500 come with reverse and elec start or were those options?

About all of Cats coils are the same. The fan 440 is a dependable engine. The 500lq is good too with almost twice the hp! No that would be an option! The 99 with ESR would be a great sled! By far alot better ride and power! Even at twice the $ !

so are the zr500 all liquid? i also noticed doing searches... carbed & efi on some 99's? was that an option or a model specific thing?

You can get them either way! EFI would be the way to go unless you want to Mod!
