el tigre?

Ive done alot of work to get this dam thing running... Its finally starting on the first pull, I rode it around the yard for about 10 minutes and it is running great, but the thing will not quit smoking, Im talking Alot of smoke (white), also there is oily stuff coming out of exhaust...
It ran like crap before, but it didnt smoke at all, now it runs great and smokes like a SOB...
I put it up on a lift and throttled her out for a while, but the smoke and oil just keep coming, is there something I need to adjust that I am overlooking? thanks cribbin'

86 eltigre 6000 new carbs, gas lines, fuel filter, rebuilt pumps, new plugs and exterior ignition coil, new choke cable

Is it liquid cooled? If not, it might just be burning all the crap out of the exhaust.

It is not oil injected... I mixed gas 20;1....
I took it out in the yard again to see if I could burn it out some more, and Im back to square one.. Made it 15 ft out of the garage, sled made it up to 4k, clutch engaged, bogged down and died, now it is hard to start and seems to be flooding out or acting like it is running on 1 cylinder... Could it be something electrical? It ran like this before I did all the work, then it was starting great and had tons of power, and now Im back to banging my head on the wall....
Compression is good, plugs both look great... could something be sticking maybe???? Something shorting out the sled??? thanks

Post a picture of the engine compartment.
An 86 should have the oil injection.
Are you sure that it's not a 76?

With the synthetic oils, you can safely mix at 40:1.

Liquid cooled - smoke = cracked case/head or blown gasket?

i hafta agree with silver surfer, you may be burning coolant, also, you should be able to go with 40:1. that might be where all the smoke is coming from, burning all that extra oil.

If it was burning coolant, you would be able to smell it.
Kinda sweet smelling.
