Gutting Out An Arctic Cat Resonator?
Can anyone tell what would happen if would gut out my resonator I understand it will make it louder but would it cause to much back pressure and cause damage to the engine or possibly blow the engine.
Thanks

No just louder!! But check your plugs it could lean it just a bit, could be a good thing for a otherwise stock engine??

Not worth the trouble, very little power gain and you won't be able to run your sled cause you won't have any trails left to ride on.

I don't want another debate over loud pipes, but if you gut the exhaust can you make a ton of sound. That's the number one issue that trails are being closed over.

Contrary to popular belief, you NEED the stuff in the can to create the proper flow for the engine. Gutting the can will mess up how smoothly the air will go through the motor, nevermind causing a hot spot on the exhaust side of the piston, possible burning it.
