Out of adjustment on track tension

The track adjustment bolts on the '93 WildCat that I just bought are adjusted all the way in and the track is a little loose (about and inch and a 1/4 to inch and a 1/2 deflection). I know I could use longer bolts but I don't know if there is enough room left in the notch that the rear axle slides in for adjustment. Is this track toast or is there a way to get either more adjustment or shrink the track. I'm assuming that the previous owner forgot to loosen the track during summer storage. And I hope that if I can make it to spring and lift the track off the ground and loosen it up that it will shrink down some over the summer. Does anyone have any ideas what to do in the meantime?

Is it ratcheting on acceleration?
If not, just run it and replace it over the summer.

I would be looking at everything under that sled! There maybe some idlers missing or something! I've never heard of a track stretching that much! Someone may have changed the drivers from 9 tooth to 8 but there would be enough adjustment for that! Perhaps they moved the mount to a different set of holes? Maybe a combo of things??

It does ratchet but only on really hard acceleration and on good traction.
