I just picked up an 89 Wildcat (Disguised as an EXT Special Looks just like my 1991 EXT) I was also told by the guy it was an 88. I had fixed up and rebuilt an 89 Indy 500 and swapped the guy for it. The motor had been rebuilt. I was also told that it keeps popping coils. Would anyone have a wiring diagram? I know the coils on my EXT work and are the same so I think i'm going to try them first. Sorry for the babbling, but i wanna get this beast running so i can have some fun.

Thanks. I found that site yesterday. I couldn't find it again today. I appreciate the help. Know of any way to test
coils and CDI to see if they are good? I would rather not sit and throw money at it.

It is a closed circuit system.
Unplug the terminal block at the engine. Make sure that the CDI is still connected and jumper the brown to black wire. Then test for spark. This will tell you if the problem is in the stator or one of the switches.
