tps on carb? high idle?
first off sorry for this long post! last night was out for about 3 hours on my 02 zr600 when i noticed the idle sticking at around 3000 checked the cable it was ok the idle screw dident do nothing? so i unplugged the tps on the carb it idled right down to 1500 plugged it back in it was fine! hit the throttle reved to about 4000 idled back to 3000 and stuck again! shut it off and started it idled at 1500 perfect touch the throttle and same thing again? i definitely ruled out the cable also when it does this it seems to make the sevo motor for the power valves cycle contiuously but when idling at 1500 they dont move? any ideas? thanx for any help you can give!

Yeah I looked up the fisch, I've never worked on these sleds before but I'm guessing to control the power valves? Looking in electronics you can see there are controlers so I bet thats what the TPS is for. On my '96 ext efi to adjust the TPS you got to loosen the screw and get the corect voltage and stuff, sounds complicated. I'm shure somebody els with more experiace will chime in.

no i dident cuz it seems to run great! this is the only problem it has, no cutting out, all the power it ever had! runs great??im not sure what the power valves are doing when im going 60-70 but when i pin it to the bar at 60 it lifts right up and shoots right up to 100 no problem so i guess i will unplug it just to eliminate it good thinking! thanx i mean the tss not the tps!

Yeah its going to be ok sometimes then others just bog out, you said you had a hard time getting it over 4000 RPM and thats where it usualy bogs it down from my experiance.
