Question Help with motor replacement on 94 Panther

I have a 94 Panther as a project sled here. Also a zr700 but that one works

Before anyone says rebuld it....The crank is toast one cylinder and head and piston so thats more money than its worth...

Anyway the motor grenaded something fierce in the panther before I got it. The sled itself was damn near free and in great shape. I have torn the motor out of this sled and want to replace it with something else....My question is what will fit with little to no modification:? Will one of the older 500FCs from an eltigre or an older Kawasaki 440 bolt right up with little to no effort? And will the Kawasaki exhaust bolt up to my current Panthers pipes? I have located a fresh late 70s Kaw 440 and wouldnt mind going that route same with the 500.

Or secondarily where can I find a Suzuki 440FC for a reasonable price. This is just a kick around sled so I dont want to sink much into it

Any help is appreciated and thank you for having such an awesome forum.

The spirit 500 f/c (suzuki) will be a good replacement and with a little clutch tuning can run with the big cats.

The 500 sprint should be a free air not a fan! The best investment might be a 570? newer and likly won't need to be rebuilt! The 500 sprint would likly be an early 80's motor at best? And have aged seals!

When you say Sprint Im thinking like the Eltigere 500cc free air, The Cougars were a good motor! The free air might have more hp?

Free air would have more but really I want a fan just to keep it the somewhat the same. I actually have 3 people interested in buying it because my neighbor told them about it yesterday lol. I mentioned that I would sell it for like 1500 seemed high enough to keep interest away nut appearantly not. He snapped pics and I got calls today lol
