chaincase oil
some of you were saying something about using lucas synthetic gear oil in the chain case, i like the idea as i own 3 different brand name sleds. what weight should i use?

The stock chaincase fluid is pretty light, I would go with the lightest you can get. I use 75/90 synthetic and have had no gear or chain issues...

I use the syn oil additive and 5w30 syn oil in my stuff. I think the syn gear lube is too thick?

Doesn't seem to be for me... I thought about that, but it pours just fine when it's cold... I think you could use almost anything in a chaincase and it would work. I have seen power steering fluid, motor oil, and 2-stroke oil being used, with no ill effects...

used to use veggie oil when i watercrossed. but i use amsoil synthetic for the trail. i too, think most anything will work.
