Couple of ?'s on 93 ext

Ok, got her going pretty decent, starts on first or second pull everytime and Idles great! Very little bog even. Figure I will adjust that out once it gets colder out.

Now for the ?'s...

How much some is normal for this seld? 580. This one smokes ALOT it is bluish white in color so I know its getting oil. But it acts like a smoke screen has been deployed?

Also, what skids can I put in her to help out in the suspension area?

And finally, the front of the sled sits really low to the ground, what can I do to raise that up some? She also seems to "dig" when you give it gas.

Thanks

Well, the smoke should clear once the pipe is at operating temp.
As far as the low front, look at where the front of the skid is mounted (there should be 2 holes) and put it into the lower one. Then you will need to put a bit more tension onto the front shock preload coils. Make sure that the rear of the skid is also mounted in the lower hole. Check where the lower end of the rear swing arm is mounted. There should be 3 holes in the rails. If the lower short section is vertical, you will have more weight transfer and it will have better traction for acceleration. The more inline that the transfer arm is with the rest of the swing arm, the less weight transfer, but the better it will absorb the bigger bumps.
I have mine set up for maximum weight transfer and then stiffened the spring preload to a heavier setting. I find that this gives me the best of both settings. Much better hook up for acceleration and a smoother ride, especially in the stutter bumps.

Along with that you can loosen the limiter strap to bring the front end up and have the shocks rebuilt.
