For a 2" rise, you should be fine re-routing the brake line and the throttle/oil pump cable. If you go higher, you may have to get extensions or buy new cables to accomodate the height of the riser.

I'm not really sure, I sold both my zr's last year so I don't have one to look at. From what I remember of the bars, there was a little freeplay in the throttle and a little in the brake line. If you look at how things are layed out from the brake to the brake lever and the where the throttle/oil cables are routed, you should get a little free play. You can test it by taking the bars off, putting a 2" wood block in the space, and strapping the bar down to the wood. Then turn the bars to see if you have any tension anywhere. If so, longer cables or extensions are in order. You may have to re-route lines or clip some of the ties that hold things down to get the play you need. It's important to have some play, otherwise when you turn the sled, the engine revs when the cable gets tension on it.

If your cables are long enough, all you have to do is unbolt the old riser put the new one in and bolt back up!
