2001 Zl 600 Efi

Hi Guys, I am looking at buying a 2001 ZL 600 EFI for $2000. What do you think of this sled? Is the price reasonable? Thanks!

How many miles? Thats not a bad price but it depends on the miles and what kind of shape it is in. Does it have electric start or reverse?

It has about 2250 miles. I do not know a whole lot about snowmobiles, but it looks clean. It does not have electric start, but it has reverse. I did start it and it fired up on the second pull and idels quite nicely. They had another one, same thing, but with electric start and 3600 miles, but they wanted $2200 for it. From what I have been told about electric start is that when it gets really cold out you want to use the pull start anyhow. Is that right? Is the extrc $200 worth it for electric start and higher miles? Thanks again for the thoughts on it.

Personally, I'd go for the one without the e-start. Even when it is very cold out, it will start easily. I have a '93 700EFI and it never takes more than 3 pulls to start.

I've never heard that EVER.Why put elecrtic start on a machine that is made for the cold if it's a bad idea to use it when its cold out The electric start option is approximately $450.I personally couldn't give a rats a$$ about electric start, unless it was for my wife..For the price difference, I'd go for the lower milage , it sounds like a better deal.

Just to a my.02 i have the same sled with the e-start and reverse. I have not had any problem with it at all and i have 2200 miles on mine. I paid 3500 for mine 4 years ago with low miles. For that price it sounds like a good deal. What color is the one your looking at??

Well, tlaked the wife into letting me spend a little more. Getting a 2002 ZL 600 EFI ESR with only 600 miles. This thing looks like it has never seen snow. I will post pics this weekend when i pick it up.

Quite honestly, I think that is too much sled for you, you should ride the ext 580 still and let a good buddy, ride the zl!
