Unhappy 06' Crossfire oil usage

I just recently bought a 06' Crossfire 700. My first EFI sled ever and it seems to use a lot more oil than usual. I rode 172 miles one weekend and the oil light came on, I never knew the oil light worked on a snowmobile. I had a 2001 ZR 600 and many other oil injection sleds and I never seen a light come on before. Is anyone else having this issue of oil consumption and has anyone turned down the pump boss and how much?

The light comes on when the tank gets low. Are the plugs wet and oily looking or are you fouling them?

Let's see....172 miles...if it's at all like my F7, you prolly used about 17 gallons of gas & and about 1-1/2 quarts of oil. I think the light comes on when there is about 1 qt left, so you have plenty of advanced warning. Granted, it is most likely set rich from the factory, but it isn't that far out of whack!

Agree with IRS.The Firecats and Crossfires are oil pigs. Don't try to mess with it though!!!

I don't know if they had this issue on the newer AC or not, but I had a problem where my low oil light would come on after 100 miles. I hadn't even put a tank of gas through it. I stopped to put oil in and it took less than a quart. I think they had some faulty pickups or something.

I think there was a service bulletin on the low oil sensor engaging way too early. Arctic Cat sent me one in the mail and I didn't here anything about it till I asked my dealer why they sent it to me. Since I put it in I have riden 180 miles and the light did not come on . Also I still had about a quart left of oil at the end of that ride.
