Sled won't move

Hi All,
Just got my Arctic Cat 600ZRT fired up this weekend, but the sled won't move. I changed the belt, and pried the brake apart, but it still won't move. Any idea's?

Could be any 1 of several things.........
1) Frozen/siezed bearing in the drive shaft or jack shaft
2) Chaincase locked up (remove cover to inspect)
3) Idler wheel bearings siezed due to rust
4) Brakes locked up (you said you freed that, tho.)

Do a couple of things to diagnose...
Remove belt to de-couple engine from rest of drive train. Does the jackshaft (secondary) move at all (even a tiny bit). Jack back of sled up off the ground. Loosen belt tension, then try to see if idler wheels turn freely. Can you move the track at all? Are the clips rusted to the hyfax?

Check those & get back with us!!

If the sled is sitting on the ground then the track or the skis could be frozen to the ground. That happens alot.

Sled won't move

Thanks for your replies. I checked the pulley's yesterday and they were moving freely. I jacked up the back of the sled and was able to move the track by hand, so I started the sled, gave it some gas and the track started to spin. When I put the sled back on the ground, the track will not move when I give it gas. The track will only turn when it's in the air. Is this a belt or a torque converter problem?

Could be the belt.Does the engine have the power to want the track to move???Or does it bog a little?

Just put a new belt on the other day. The engine does seem to have enough power, it's just not being transferred to the track. i have one cylinder (the middle one) that does not seem to be firing, is that enough to keep the sled in one place?

Do the sheaves on the primary close when you rev the engine?? Bushing on that clutch could be seized...
