Exclamation 94 ext 580 efi not running

Sled was running fine, then suddenly quit. Suspected battery failure (no charge). Possibly regulator problems? Would start with battery charged, Then would bog out and quit after about 10 km. Now sled will not start at all. On ECU the LED light does not come on at all. HELP

Did you check to see if the battery is still charged? If not, it's a charging problem wit hthe sled. Jump start the sled off a vehicle and see if it runs first.

Did you check the fuse? Do you hear the fuel pump?

Old battery? Replace it.
Check for the inline (10 amp) fuse between the engine and regulator.

On the battery required EFI's if the battery is weak, it will go into "limp" mode and will barely run.

jump with car, replace plugs

If it runs replace bat. if the bat is weak or not taking a charge it will not run at all..

does the pump come on and just click constantly and not fire?

I reworked my battery holder to use a lawn mower bat. they're cheaper and have more crank!
Do you get spark? or just no fuel?

Do you have too much fuel? what about compresion? Can you see if there is anything blocking the air box inlet? Have you had anything else apart? on my 580efi the flywheel was off and when it went back on the key got pushed out, it would almost run and thats it. I went through everything, put it on the scope and everything checked out. I put a simple timing light on it and found no marks under the light. So I went in and found the key missing! Runs great!!!

With the key off, Hold the throttle wide open and pull it over at least 3 times. The compression should be 120psi or better and within 10% of each cyl. It should not be less than 100psi.

the compression is 110 lbs and yes it was flooded.what happened was when I was playing with the battery it was engaging the fuel punp and the injectors were adding fuel hence the flooding . thanx for the advice things seem to be ok talk to you later apollo

Running the fuel pump should not flood the engine! There is a return line. Could you have an injector fouled up?
Withou starting turn key on and of cycling the pump a few times, wait a minute then loosen the hose clamp on the presure side with a rag aroud to catch fuel, there should be 30# or so of presure, if not you may have a bad injector!
