general questions

hey so i finally got my 550 back together and in the sled and running after 2 hours of dealing with a dead cyl caused by a choke plunger. now i have a few questions. 1 my water pump seal is leaking prolly a drop every 5-10seconds and i just replaced it cuz it was leaking worse so my question is will it stop leaking? dose it take a lil while for the 2 teflon surfaces on the seal to seal. also it seems to smoke alot especially at part throttle but it still seems really pep i just wondered what are some typical signs of a coolant leak?

You can smell the coolant in the exhaust if it is leaking into the cyl.

only if it does not clear after the engine is warmed up properly. There is still moisture/condensation in the pipe.
