Twin pipes problem

i bought SLP twin pipes for my 2000 zr 600 and im having trouble getting them installed properly so they dont overheat the hood or the belly pan. and i just brought it in to get rejetted and it still doesnt run right. has ne one else had these problems?? ne suggestions?? i dont know how to jet...

I assume it's not EFI? You are probably too lean. Did you change the air box or cover? to rejet just take the carbs loose turn them over remove the center cap remove the jet,( carefull not to loose the brass washer) install new jet. Usualy one size bigger at a time, from 390 to 400? or what ever.
