1993 Mountain cat 580 idle

Hey everyone, your advice would be appreciated here. My sled has been running great, untill last night that is. When I come to a stop the idle gets very low, if i let off the break the sled starts to go foreward. It is like the clutch is still engaging even at idle. It was very hard to start if I shut it down. Now I can't seem to get it to start at all. At one point when I was pulling the starter the sled moved foreward on me as the motor turned over. Not very far or fast, but it did move about a foot or so. Any ideas on what I should check first. I am going to try taking the belt off tonight to see if it starts any easier. Thanks in advance!

The primary clutch is probably jammed. check for broken spring or for bent/twisted/worn weights.
If the clutch has never been serviced, the weight bushings are most likely worn and one or more has gotten crooked and is binding. You will need to replace the bushings and pins at least.

Ok, also, how much side-to-side movement is acceptable on the secondary clutch (if any). Mine moves about 1/4 inch.
