Lookin for stuff for my 93 ZR 580

After taking my sled out for the first time, I realized that there are some things I would really like to get...

First off, is there a seat sold somewhere that would allow me to haul 2 people? The sled has more then enough power to haul a second person, but the seat only holds one...

Secondly, I need a better set of of side running boards. The ones I have pack snow in too easily because theres no holes in them, making it tough to stand. They're also too narrow, I have a hard time getting my feet in them to stand up...

Third, is there some thing out there that would allow me to strap a couple snowboards on the back of it? Besides just a couple bungees?

And lastly, I need handlebar risers or taller bars. The stock position is just too low for me since I'm relatively tall.

Any help or guidance is always appreciated. Thanks

I put a 3.5" Ole's riser on my '96 ZRT. He sells many different sizes or will make whatever size you want. They have a 30 deg. angle on them to take the bars straight up, not up and back like a straight one would.

Ole's Machine Home Page is where you can order them.

I am having the same issues with mine. Would like to make room for a second person. My running boards don't work to well for me. And being 6'6" I hit my knees when I turn all the time.

I can't help much with the other things but I do have some input on the two-up seat idea. When I bought my brand new crossfire 700 the ONLY stipulation my wife had to be ok with it was that it had to be able to seat 2 for when we go ice fishing, a reasonable request for sure hehe.

I shopped around to figure out how to get 2 ppl on a 1 person sled and found the following out. A complete replacement seat to make it 2-up would be VERY expensive, hard to find, and if I wanted to ride alone would look dumb or take away from the looks of my nice sled (haha I know it's superficial). I talked to my dealer and he introduced me to what's called a "seat jack". It's an awesome idea.

It's a 2 up seat with a backrest that quick connects onto the sled. It's CHEAPER than a complete replacement seat, works beautifully, and it's 100% removeable with the twist of a few quick releases. Here's what it looks like:

Without:

It takes about 2 seconds to remove it and about 1 min to attach it.

That bar riser is a great idea, and by the looks of his site, its not too expensive either. In fact, I'm thinking of making my own in my machining class. It doesn't seem like it would be overly hard, and we have all the stuff to do it with.

And that 'Seat Jack' is also a good idea; it allows you to carry a second person w/o taking away from the beauty of having a single person.

And as for the running boards, I found something that should work perfect for what I need, and is pretty cheap. I'm sure you guys have seen these before, but these would seem to solve my problem since I'm always standing on the edge rail.
SNOWBUY EDGE RAIL GRIPS from Parts Unlimited Snow

And lastly, as far as the snownboards are concernred, I guess I'll just have to make something up for that.

Thanks for the help guys.

my buddy is making a rack to hold his snoboard in on his sled too, its a good idea, basically it's going to bolt on the same way as that seat jack would, except without the quickness because it will be bolted, but in the same spots basically, he's almost done it now though.

So I think I have a good idea...

Instead of getting new running boards, I think I'm just going to try some grip tape on the edges on mine, and see if that works. And if that doesn't work, then I'll get those plastic things for grippage...

And I think I'm going to try to machine a billet alum bar riser.

I'm trying to do everything on the cheap here since I'm a college student.
