Silencer for EXT 580?
Hey guys!
My sled is not loud enough! I have a 1996 EXT580 and am looking around for a silencer for it. Im able to find silencers for the 1994-97 Zr580, but not my model. just wondering if the ZR580 has the same engine, and if the silencer for the ZR580 would work with my EXT580?
If not anyone know where i could purhase one?
Thanks!
Stefan.

EDIT: I guess I should be more tactfull. What I mean is, WHY do you need it louder? All louder exhausts do is:
1)Ruin your own hearing
2)Ruin everyone else's hearing
3)Piss off every human within 5 miles of your sled
4)Piss off the general public and land owners resulting in poor snowmobilers image and trail closures.
If you're not helping to fix the problem, you are part of it, and you are definitely trying to be part of the problem. What can you POSSIBLY gain as a positive from a louder exhaust?

I'm calling BS on that one. There's no way you are going to spend money, modding your sled, and pissing off the whole planet just so you can be "Safe". A regular sleds exhaust can be heard for miles away AS IS, it needs no help with that. Is this just some mod you are doing so you can feel cool pulling up to highschool on a super loud sled or something? Either way this is a total waste of time, money, and ruins it for everyone else.

I posted for some help, is there anyone that can help me out with my question?
Thanks!

Everyone has opinions on loud exhaust.....but there are a few out there that can add 7-10 more HP without sounding like you gutted the exhaust with a hacksaw. Check out Dynoport systems, MBRP is popular, etc.

That's a very good point SEG. I was actually going to mention that it my original post but he doesn't even want performance, just DB's hence my strongworded opinions.

Thanks for the reply. I checked with Dynoport and they dont seem to make anything for Arctic Cat. Alot of differnet sites have silencers for the the 1996 ZR 580. So what im wondering is if both engines are similar, with just the suspension being different from the two, if the silencer for the ZR 580 would work the the EXT 580. Both being the same years. thanks!

they use the same silencers the only difference might be if you have revers you might have to modify the bracket where it bolts up
