Oil light

Wondering if anyone has any experience with an oil light that always stays on. I have a 97 580 ext efi deluxe. Runs great, super clean. The oil is completely full, but when I turn the sled on, the oil light stays on all the time. I dont have a manual for the sled, and I was wondering if these sensors go bad often, or what it would cost to replace.

The sensor could be bad, or it could be a blown "posistor" that is like a relay that tells the light to turn off.
