Okay, here are my options

2005 Arctic Cat Panther, not a mile on it, $8700 taxes in

2006 Arctic Cat Bearcat, not a mile on it, about $9300 taxes in.

All I want a sled for is going back and forth to work, trail riding, hunting, ice fishing, etc. I doubt I will ever go about 50 mph. Speed on a sled is not my thing, I like to take my time and enjoy the scenery. No matter what, though, the boss (my wife) told me that if I am buying a sled it has to have a passenger seat for her.

Anyone have any thoughts on these 2 snowmobiles?

THe Bear Cat is more of a work horse, capable of pulling heavy loads. THe Panther is more of a luxury touring sled.
If you are going to be towing anything like a 'bogin or sleigh
to haul gear for ice fishing, the BeareCat is probably the better choice.

for the money the bearcat is the machine for that type of activity. 600 bucks , a year newer , more warranty . just a side note might not mean anything but in all the fishing shows and mags you always see a bearcat in the background. must mean something considering those guys do it for a livin.
