Back after 8 years off!!!!

Hello, all! I'm new to the forum, and kinda new to sleddin'. I used to ride a lot, but 8 years ago I pretty much gave it up to spend the time with my family. Now that the kids are old enough to ride (really, honey, I'm buying these sleds for the kids!) I'm getting back in it. My last ride was a 1999 Polaris 600 XCSP. I liked it, but now I'm going Cat for the EFI. I have a 2004 F6 bought, but the dealer will let me upgrade to anything I want and not lose any money on the F6.

My options -

1 - Keep the F6 and see what happens.

2 - Go to a 2004 F7 with less miles and reverse for about $300

3 - Go to a 2006 Crossfire 700 for $3000 (this is what my salesman says is the best option)

4 - A 2007 F8 snowpro for around $3900

Since I have been out of this for a while, I would really appreciate some input. Spending the cash for the trades is not a problem, but I don't want to throw away money that I don't have to. Thanks.

Also, I am looking for a good used 4 place trailer in the Iowa, Minnesota area. Thanks again!

Welcome to SF!!! Sounds like you have some pretty good deals in front of you!!!
I'd have to go with the 2004 F7 . For $300 difference, less miles and reverse. you can't beat it. Plus, Reverse is a $650 option if you bought the sled new. 143 HP stock. Super easy to steer, And Hellaciously fast out of the hole.
I have not riden a Crossfire or an F8 . But The F8 is a new breed and I havn't heard much feed back yet. However I'm sure they are awsome to ride. The F7 seems to be a no brainer in a sense.

If you choose the F7 deal. MAKE SURE ALL RECALLS ARE TAKEN CARE OF FIRST. Good luck and have fun!!!!

yea i'd say the '04 F7 would be your best bet, lower miles AND reverse for a mere $300 I'd say GO FOR IT!

Yeah, the F7 is the way I'm leaning, but I just don't want to count out the F8 and Crossfire just because if the $$$$ Honestly I'm not really considering the F8 all that much, but the way my salesman raves about the Crossfire, it just got me thinking a little. But then again, that's what he gets paid for....

Go for the F7. The ride on the Snowpro is a little rougher also.
