On my 1989 arctic cat jag 340cc deluxe the kill switch is not shutting if off i look every were but i cant find the problem anyone got any ideas were the problem is??

those switches can go bad every once in a while. As long as the wires along the handlebar are still plugged in that's probably what it is. New switch will fix it right up.

check that the wires have not been disconnected from it first.
the previous owner may have unhooked it.

when i press down the killswitch the motor goes down but doesent shut off

Replace the switch.
