i've got this 98 ps efi, idiles and starts like a dream, but as soon as you give her throttle. she bogs out completely. If any of you guys have experienced this before, or have an idea what's wrong, i really could use some help.

have you tried injector cleaner yet?

Does it have reeds?

Is the battery fully charged?

Any of these will make it run poorly. cracked or chipped reeds, low battery (causes it to go inot "limp mode") Clogged injectors need cleaning.

Maybe it's a fuel pump issue also. Fuel pump won't keep up wit hthe high acceleration. EFI's are a pain to work on.

i have had similar problems with my 700ps non efi. i know my machine has throttle verification switch located in the throttle lever. sometimes bushings wear out and it happens intermittently, but your switch may also have shorted out. you should be able to unhook it if you trace the wires down your handlebars. you also will loose your kill switch. hope this helps...

i am with mikey on this one it sounds like the the throttle safty switch. There are two white plastic washers. if that is the problem when you go to get new one ask for the up dated ones they have a xtra nipple on them to take care of that problem
