crank seal

so i split the case 2 day on the 500 and found that there is no rubber type seal in the center just a turbo style rotating seal with piston ring type seals so all looked okay other than one bearing that was siezed with aluminum junk from the bummed piston and it spun on the crank but just barely so i cleaned it up with some acid put some light oil on the bearings and shes good as new. can any one provide me with the torque specs for a 500 f/c arctic cat and what should i seal the 2 halfs of the case with?

Cleaned the bearing with acid??!!
Never heard of that....hope it works for you!!

03 AC manual says to use "Three Bond Sealant" p/n 0636-070....lacking that, I would use a hi-temp black silicone like Permatex Ultra Black (buy at auto parts store).
Not sure about 500 F/C, but the 03 570 F/C uses 4-6mm bolts @ 6-9 ft-lbs & 8-8mm bolts @ 13-20 ft-lbs. Tighten all bolts in 3 steps & use a tightening sequence similar to a car cylinder head.
Hope this helps!!

Those are the torque specs I have also. I use 3-bond semi drying sealant for my case halves.
