drivetrain replacement on 96 powder special

just picked up this freebie sled for zero dollars . need to replace the drive assembly , previous owner ripped the drive sprockett in half . nice break , lol . anyways , was wondering if one could take a complete drive assembly and suspension/ track assembly from a newer sled and drop it in place . if so what models will apply ? the sled has little miles and riding so rebuilding is a must . modified suspension would be sweet . have'nt been active in snowmobile world for over 10 yrs. city liven really sucked . now that I'm back in the woods can't wait to get this baby happening . have a phone # for a used sled graveyard in interior BC and am awaitng confirmation on swap overs . or compatibilty with other sleds.
