1995 ZR 440 Bog off idle

Hi
I am looking for some additional ideas on how to solve my bog problem. I have cleaned the carbs and done some jetting changes but that didnt help.

It takes some significant feathering of the throttle to get it up and revving even when it is fully warmed up. If I flip to half choke then it revs up fine and quickly so it seems to me that it is either getting too much air or not enough fuel.

If anyone has any ideas to try I would appreciate it!

That is almost definitely a dirty/clogged idle/low speed circuit in the carbs. I know you said you cleaned them, but the small jet for the idle and take off is causing that problem.

I agree with small engine guy, but if that doesn't solve the problem you might want to have a look at your outer crank seals, or have a look at your impulse line to see if it is cracked in any place where it could suck air. An easy way to check for a bad crank seal is to start the engine, and (if possible) let it idle. Then all you need to do is get a can of WD-40 and spray the crank seal with it. If the sled idles up then you know that is the problem. Another way is to use motor oil, but this way the motor will bog down instead of idle up. But, beore you get into any of this do what small engine guy said.
