Wow... even changed the seat! Looks nice, but now it's a ZL. Didn't it start life as a ZR, or are my eyes getting that bad? Anyway - looks nice!!!

Its a 2000 ZR 500, She dosen't want a green sled so I found a NIB Solar hood for 250 and a new seat and tank from RV sports for 100 bucks, took the orange running board things off and thats all i did, besides the reverse.

i like what you did w/ the sleds.
except...
for the windshield. imo a chrome/reflective lower windshield would look sweet. but im assuming you left them that way for a reason.
good job tho

Yeah, I like a medium windshield, and they were 40 a peice from RV. And the red flames don't exactly match the red checkers on the hoods but its close enough.

Well, she dosen't like them a whole lot. Can I get black ZR springs? Here is a list of what I need to get rid of the green on the suspension.
Black front springs
Black hi-fax - got it already, but not installed
Black torque sensing link
Silver rear "bogie" wheel
where can I get them

I like what you did, my ZL has the same paint job. I would just sand down the springs and paint them black save the money.

If a spring is painted, whan it compresses it will crack the paint and flake off, thats why the springs are coated with a rubberized coating instead of paint.

I Can Not Remember The Name(dip It?) Of The Stuff, but It Is Used To Coat The Handles Of Your Tools To Give You A Rubber Grip, This Works Well On Those Kind Of Parts.

Yep, I see it now. The pics here are downsized so small, you really have to look hard. Nice....
Mine had green screens in it when I bought it. I hated the look against the Solar paint. I changed it over to black last year. I like the way it looks *way* better than the green!

Last 3 of the serial... From the best I can tell (I did a lot of Google searches!), they released 1000 of the solar paint schemes for each model made. Snow checking was the way to assure you got one. I have yet to see another one in person...
