Riser for Z370

Hello, i have a Z370 but the handlebars are too low for me to stand up straight. What is the maximum amount of riser i can fit on my sled before I need extentions, longer lines, cutting etc.

Thanks

not sure on your particular sled, however, mine was roughly 2". i just unbolted my handle bar and could see how much room i had. some ppl say you can get about a 4" riser before you need longer cables, ect.

one thing i also did was i called dennis kirk (the site where i bought the riser from) and asked what riser would fit on my sled w/o modifying the cables. and he said 2".

not sure how much help this is, but this should get you started.

i guess it would depend on the year, but i made myself a set of 3" risers out of aluminum on my 01. I still had plenty of slack. Here's a pic.

I've heard since the bars are at an angle it pushes them back when you put a riser on.Will it move it back alot?

I put a 1" on my '00 ZL, and the cables are max'd out. A 2" wouldn't have fit without adding cable extenders.

mine didnt move back that far, or for that matter none that i noticed.

i know you can get adjustable risers if that is a concern.

The 00ZL is a different style than my old 01zr.

What year is your z370? Apparently, it may make a difference.

your dealer should also be able to tell you how high you can go, And like PI500 said you can get adjustable risers which I have on mine so I could go forward as well as up. The adjustable ones aren't as sturdy. I keep and allen wrench with me so I can tighten them when need be.

I'll call up Dennis Kirk tommorow as PI500 suggested. I dont suspect my local dealer will know about this because many dealers around here are pretty clueless about specs.
