Sounds like a good deal. Check out the link on what to look for in buying a used sled. It's in the engine section, how-to's, at the bottom.

I ran a check on nada.com and a 98 ZR 50 Ave. retail is $2,200 and low retail is $1675 so it sounds like a good deal to me. I've got a 2002 ZR 500 and love it....great machine

Yeah, like he ^^^ said.
Not a steal, but still a good deal - *IF* it's in good shape.

Look it over real careful, and deduct from the price for everything that you find that needs fixing.

if you like the sled and its mechanically sound, it is a good deal for you. what may be a good deal for some may not be for others. if you like the sled, runs good and you can afford it, go for it. sounds like a fair price.

Location, location, location...
As well - where a sled is being bought weighs heavily on the price. For instance; sleds in western NY sell for a LOT more than say, sleds in MI.

Location and condition really make all the prices, I know of a 98ZR 600 for 1200 in lower MI and even in morthern IL that might be fair to alittle high at 1500, but if it's local and in good shape offer them 1200 or so, you can always go up. Play the negotating game offer them 1000 and meet them at 1250?
