New here, and have just made a deal to get my first machine. It's from a friend of mine, a 1990 Jag 340. I know nothing of snowmobiles, but I've had ATV's and cycles for a while.

I don't know anything about the machine, except that it has 1500 miles and has been well taken care of. How do I get any information at all on this machine, like specs, etc? Also, any opinions or info that anyone here has on things that I should know about this particular unit would be greatly appreciated. Any quirks, good or bad.

I had a couple of those over the years. Good solid sleds to start on not many things go wrong with them. Swap meets are the best source for older sled parts and owners manuals ect.
