I parked my 1997 ZRT600/manual start after 200 great miles in NH 2 weeks ago. I drove it up into the back of my truck, turned the fuel line off, and drove home. Now it won't start, and even after some starting fluid, it starts, burns off the fluid and immediately dies. It's full with a fresh tank of gas, it's been in a heated garage, the fuel filter checks out ok, and there is gas in the lines from the pump to the carbs, but I noticed there is a 2 inch air bubble in the line from the filter to the fuel pump. Do I have a venting problem somewhere or a bad fuel pump or what???? Never had this problem before. Please help!!!!

Check to see if your sled has a dirt leg on the bottom of the carbs and or pull the bottom of the carbs off to see if you have something in the bottom of the carb that is preventing the needle from opening. If the needle sticks or there is something preventing it from allowing fuel will get the same problem

Was there a major elevation change on your trip? Its not impossible that you could have water condensation in your gas.

I don't recommend using starting fluid. I assume it is ether. It will dry the cylinders and they won't get proper lubrication. Make sure you pull the tank cap off in case it is vacuum locked. Did you ride in powder on your last trip? Even though it is in a heated garage, I would pull the carb boots and see if they are iced up. Pull the fuel lines off the carbs and crank the motor over to see if your fuel pump is working properly. Hope this helps.
