96 550 Bearcat anything to look for???

Hello, I'm new here and have been out of snowmobiling for 20 years and I,m looking at a 96 550, Bearcat 16" wide, long track with 5000 miles on it . It runs good but I know nothing about this new (to me) liquid cooled engines are these things reliable?

Another option I have is a 92 440 Jag two up with High, low and reverse but I have not seen it and no not know the miles or how it runs yet.

I just want a Machine for ice fishing and a little riding nothing worth getting a trail pass over. Which of the two is the way to go if they are both in equally decent shape??

Thanks
Tim.

I think either 1 would be good for ice fishing but the bear cat would be nice for when the snow gets really deep on the ice and it will give you a little more pulling power if your bringing out a fich hut

i would go with the bearcat.

My choice would be the bearcat. Liquids are more powerful than fans for the same displacement, and they're pretty reliable as long as your coolant is flowing and at the right level. And you have to make sure you have some loose snow every now and then to cool the heat exchangers.
