Ok guys I got a 97 Powder Extreme from a guy on here (thanks a lot) and I am doing a complete rebuild on it. Will post pics when I start. Any things I should mod or change? It is all stock. Also will need to rebuild the engine so any tips on that would be great! Thanks!
The Baby Triple. Nice!
Well how much do you want to spend?
What do you want to do with it?
I can tell you how to port it and even case port it!
You will want to see what you can find for a set of pipes (its a chevy/ford deal)
Personally I have to recommend D&D myself.
I would also see about an after market air box, too!
Best place to start is at Hay Days! It's coming up the second weekend in Sept!
Yeah I am hoping I can be there, yeah I like the pipes ok my zrt, I pretty much trail ride and a lot of messing around in fields. I was thinking of putting pod filters on make it easier to get to the carbs, any opinions on that?
Pods will cost you power unless you devise a way to direct cold air at them all the time.
The air box is designed to help to push the fuel mixture into the cylinder, same as the pipes are designed to help scavenge the fuel charge from the base into the cylinder.
sweet will see about getting one, also how hard is it to remove the reverse? I know i would have to get another lower gear, but could i keep the same case and cover?
You mean the airbox? Yeah if I do get one I will let you know I still need to tear it down the rest of the way and clean the chassis. Any know how on getting rid of the reverse?
Ok thanks, still need to finish cleaning up the frame before i go through and make a parts order. Also any opinions on front shocks? Going to need a pair. And a rear, suspension shock (the longer one)
