studs jag 340?

my father in law has a very nice artic cat Jag 340 2000 model. can you put any studs on this sled? is there enough clearance? what is the least amount of studs you can safely put on, so you will not tear them off with wide open throttle? i know this sled is not very powerful but my wife rides it and loves it, but it spins and slides around on icey trails and roads. i might also install carbite scags.

48 studs should be enough for that sled.

Hey Ruger - go here: http://www.snowmobileforum.com/showt...threadid=12446

I just put Kat Klaws on my '80 Jag 3000 F/C... I can grab some pics of what I did, if you're really interested.

Ah, when you noted Jag 340 2000, I was thinking of the late 70's to early 80's models. Mine's a 1980 3000. They made 2000's that year too. The 2000 wasn't oil injected. That's why I was thinking cleated track...
