Timing spec

Hello Sledders


I been reading this forum for the past year and know I got reg.
Does anybody know the timing spec for a Spirit motor AB50A4.

This would be greatly appreciated.

sorry, but I could not find the spec in the mannual. if you have the proper key on the flywheel it should be fine.

Hello Lm, Is the motor # AB or AE??, can't find an AB in my books, What is the 500 in??

it was only used once in 79, in a panther 5000.

AH ha, Thanks Sesnopro, found it in the model general specs section, but not listed under specific engine section. Only shows AD50F ( el tigre 5000 free air) timing spec = 18 degree or 0.080", & AE50A ( Pantera 5000 fan) timing spec = 20 degree or 0.98", Should be the same engine as the Pantera, but can't say for sure.
