crankshaft problems

what kinda of things should I be looking for on a "bad" crankshaft, it is already pulled from the engine.

bad bearings, score marks, wobble when on a stand ( doesn't roll true)

If it looks straight...Check for wear on the crank itself for wear with a micrometer. You can check rod play with a feeler gauge. If the tolerance is off too much from factory specs, it should be replaced. Look for small scratches where the bearings were seated, you can somtimes see them by carefully rubbing a soft piece of copper (like a penny) over them. I don't know if ya have an OEM service manual but maybe someone here could help you out if you don't for specs... Chances are a good polishing is all you need if you really don't have a major crank prob.

This out of the 'ol 340?
