Unhappy 1998 Pantera 800 bogging at variable speeeds

Hi all,

I am having a problem with my 1998 Pantera 800. It has 3500 miles and top speed is 60 MPH when it is not bogging down. When it does bogg i usually bring the speed down to 30 MPH and rev it and eventually I can get it to kick in and go back up to 60. This sled should go a lot faster.....
I have cleaned the carbs, re-aligned the secondary clutch ( was offset and burning up belts), still bogging down. I pulled the primary clutch off and didnt have the right socket to pull the spider off, but the rollers work and the wieghts seem to be in good shape I guess, what is normal for the weights? I put in dry-gas thinking maybe it was water in the lines? I really don't know how to adjust the carbs on this and maybe that is part of the problem. One thing i do notice in the fuel line right below the fuel filter is that there are continuous air bubbles that creep up from below the fuel filter( on the carb side), is this normal when the motor is off?

Please help with any suggestions

I think you need to rebuild your fuel pump. Kits are cheap ($15) and it's easy to do yourself.
