horsepower?
I just bought a 2000 zr 500. I was wondering the horsepower rating and what kind of top speed i could expect. It is carbureted!

Are you sure it has more horsepower than an f5? My zr has no power valves!

ok I was a little of in retrospect, but powervales have nothing to do with top end hp.

what would mine be for a 2001 zr 600 efi cause i havent been able to hit 100 yet close but not quite

110 hp, have the original brochure they put out in 2001

i was with the impression that the 2000 zr's were around 95-98 hp..... there's more than a 5 hp diff b/t the 500 and the 600

110hp for my zr for its year anyways, i have hit 97~98 mph on my buddys radar across a lake will little powder, no studs

How much horsepower does a 1997 ZR 580 efi have? I've got it over 100mph

my 500 used to be able to see 100. barely though. of course, it probably a bit heavier and older. then again its bored out.
now, it wont see past 85  probably because my clutch decided it wants to engage higher now that its sat for awhile.

I finally tried out the zr 500 last night. I ran it down a 2 kilometer snow covered gravel road and the speedo got to 100 mph. As to how accurate it is, i don't know. Also raced my friends 1997 formula 500, beat him by 4 sleds to 1000 feet. We are both stock with 96 studs each. I was quite surprised by the 500's power!
