Stock for the 700 in 2002 was 19/39 for the 144" track. By dropping one tooth on the top, you should be able to keep using the same chain. I have 20/40 in my 700, but the track is a 136. It has TONS of low end, but top speed is about 80. There are trade-offs. I would ride it and see if you are losing power on the hills or in the powder before you make a decision. You may be happy with what you have!
