I did this with a wool compounding pad used in detailing. I have a Milwakee buffer that I used (If you do this, use a wool pad that is old and crappy, you will most likely ruin it by polishing the traction holes on the bottom of the runners). This took 1/2 hour per side, and looks 100% better.

Me spraying a little basecoat on the hood (Cornwell HVLP gravity feed gun).
