Here is the headlight fairing with 2 coats of sandable primer applied. The first step in the process is to scuff the paint up with a grey scuff pad (or scotchbrite pad works OK), then clean the plastic with either a plastic cleaner or else a little bit of mineral spirits. NOTE: Do not shake an open bottle of mineral spirits up and down. Make sure the cap is secured tightly before doing so. Failure to do so will result in your eyes burning more than ever, a terrible headache that lasts 6 hours long, and will also force you to stop working on your snowmobile the rest of the day. Yeah, you guessed it, stupid me!! I was really lucky i flushed my eyes and used saline mist in my nose, on the bottle, death was one of the warning if injested. I AM VERY LUCKY TO BE TYPING THIS NOW!! Anyways, then after the cleaning, spray two to three even coats of primer, alowing 10 minutes of time inbetween coats.
Enjoy!! Hope this helps everyone out and gives out a general knowlege of how to paint a sled. I will update as I get more progress.
Thanks,
John
