Price? whats the offer?? How many miles are on it? What kind of condition is it in just by looking at it??
If its mostly trail miles, I wouldn't be too concerned with high mileage. If its hard mountain riding, take a good hard look at the suspension. The COMPLETE suspension. There has been strong talk of damage to the "nun"... the part the lower control arms bolt to. The Summits have an inherent weaker design than the sno-cross models, and dont hold up well to abrupt stops (IE stumps, ditches, rocks) Do some internet research for this problem and you will find easy ways to inspect the sled for damage.
Run a compression test and see what kind of power is still in the engine. Older 800's were prone for ring failure, newer ones are fewer, but still something to look at.
Check the clutch alignment. My Summit ate belts regularly untill I got the clutches aligned. Still eats belts, but thats my own doing...
Fog in the guages is normal, SkiDoo wont do anything about it. Make sure the DESS tether actually goes to that sled... really embarrasing when it starts but won't move.
Other than that, the only problem I can think of is why didnt you buy it earlier?? Seasons over, just an expensive toy to stare at in the garage till next year!! LOL!!
