I luv my Summit! I have rode M7, 1M, Mtn Vector, RMKs, Renegades, F7 and a few Im sure Im forgetting in just this season alone.
Once you get used to the riding position on a Summit, you will have a hard time making any other style sled do what you can do on a REV.
I ride a stock 600HO with a HPS can. My sled is stock, tuned to me and the preference I like to ride. The only thing I dont like that Skidoo did was go cheap on the secondary clutch. It fails to backshift in the powder when it gets hot. And it gets really hot really fast!! Next season, roller secondary. Done.
As it sits, I have absolutely no probs going where much bigger sleds go, the sled is much more capable than I am.
The floatation of the 16" is very similar to a 15" 151 track. (mines 144x16) The only real benefit to going longer is the ability to hold steeper side hills. The rear wont wash out as fast. But the balance on the REV is second to none. You can hold a side hill just like a top. I could keep going and going, but long story short, I believe you will be happy if the sled you choose is a Summit!!
Good luck!
