now, im not an expert on turbos, but 5psi would not be significant enough to raise the temp at all. think about a compressor tank.... they hold way more than 5psi, more like 150psi, and the tanks dont get hot. maybe im wrong, but i dont think i am. think about it... how hot is exhaust air? now take it and run it though the metal turbo housing.... its going to heat up the same way, say, a muffler heats up. its gonna get pretty hot. now pass the intake air through it.... thats what, to me, seems like it would make the most heat... but again, maybe im wrong.

maybe the figure that your getting (114 degrees for every 5psi) is just based on the amount of exhaust gas that is needed in order to reach that amount of boost. idk, maybe.
