clean the connections on the top of the gauge that are on top of the tank.. You'll have to remove the leather that covers the tank. The leather is held in place by a cable with an eye that fastens and an eye that has a spring that fastens. Once I took my seat off i couldnt get the seat cover to goi back to where it was...pain in the butt..Anyway, the connections for my fuel gauge were all coroded and I cleaned them off and put some grease and it worked after! Just a warning though...its a lot of work to get the plastic around the bars off and around the tank, then peel the leather back around the tank and then put it all back in place and make it look liek nothing happenend....
