I have had both styles, the normal width, and the extra wide skis on my sled. The skinnier ones I found were alot more aggresive, while the wider ones were not as aggresive. The downfall of the wide ones is that I found that they seemed to float TOO much going through corners, and the front end would get a little squirrley. I was able to get that taken out with more carbide.
Overall, I found that both styles are AWESOME, and I would recommed them to anybody.
