I did try them but no success. The cable broke just at the point that it connects to the little ball at the end. Does that brass piece unscrew or just pull out?
Also, do you know where I can find a operators/maintenance manual for the '78 440 Exciter? That is without paying a small fortune for one? I basically need to know how the set up the carb to run. The needles I assume are run in all the way and backed out a certain amount or just by feel when it is running?
