Wildcat 650 vs. EXT 530

I bought a '90 Wildcat 650 this Spring. The sled is in great shape, but one piston is cracked and the jug is bad too. It also needs a primary clutch as the previous owner sold the clutch before I bought the whole sled.

I have a very limited budget....too many toys....so, I've been pricing out the new "used" parts it needs which is almost $400!!!

Last week a friend of mine offered me his '90 EXT 530 for only $100! The sled's hood & tunnel are shot (His kid accidentally backed into it with a pickup). The engine & clutch are both fresh and track is new too!

Both sleds are virtually the same so dropping the 530 engine in the Wildcat should be easy. But, what kind of performance can I expect out the 530 when I was planning to run a 650?

Could I adapt any of the 650 parts ie. carbs, pipes to boost the 530's power?

I gave my 12 yr old son my 600 Vmax this year so I at least need to keep up with him!
